This weekend there are 2 big auctions where several hundred Colorado homes will be on the auction block. Colorado has been experiencing a high foreclosure rate, and may even set a record number for foreclosures for 2007. While unfortunate for the owners and lenders, this leads to a great year of opportunity for real estate investors.
Not all homes that are up for auction will be great investments though, so do you homework. Inspect each home and know what repairs are needed.
Here is the auction information:

Both Boulder and Colorado Springs are in the top 10 metro areas with the highest number of bedrooms. 28% of Boulder homes have 4 or more bedrooms, while 33% of Colorado Springs do. 26% of Colorado homes fall into this category as well. Utah leads the nation with 40%.
The irony to all of this, is that the average household size has shrunk to 2.6 people since 1990.
